Current ASC members will receive three newsletters yearly in January, April, and September. These newsletters contain information on upcoming Society programs, including the agenda for the next general membership meeting. They also contain legislative alerts, news from affiliated archaeological societies, Summer field schools, recent publications, a calendar of events, and short articles of particular interest to the membership. The newsletters also include communications from the Society’s officers and the office of the State Archaeologist.
The Newsletter is now available electronically to members who provide their email addresses. This has advantages for readers and the ASC. The electronic version is delivered faster, is electronically searchable, and has working internet links and color photographs. For the Society, this has the potential to reduce costs greatly. Printing and postage are by far the greatest expenses we incur.
